Welcome to Daily. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

Collection of Your Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application includes:

• Account Data: Information you provide to create and manage your account (for example, name, email address, and profile photo, depending on what you choose to share).
• Google Calendar Data: If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we will access your calendar events (including titles, descriptions, and dates) to display them within the application. With your permission, we will also create new events on your behalf. This data is used exclusively to provide the calendar and event summary features within the app and is not shared with third parties.

Google Calendar Permissions (OAuth Scopes)

If you connect Google Calendar, Daily requests only the permissions needed to provide the calendar features inside the app:

• Read calendars and events: to list your calendars and display your events in Daily.
• Manage events: to create, update, and delete events when you explicitly perform those actions in the app.

Daily does not access your Google Calendar unless you choose to connect it, and does not modify or delete events unless you take an action that requests it (for example, creating or editing an event).

Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display calendar information and, when requested by you, create, update, or delete calendar events on your behalf.
• Generate summaries and reports based on your event information and content you provide.
• Communicate with you about your account (for example, support inquiries).
• Increase the efficiency and operation of the Application.

Data Storage and Retention

To keep your Google Calendar connected, Daily stores a refresh token encrypted at rest. We may also store references that link items in Daily to Google Calendar (for example, a calendar ID and event ID) so you can manage those events from the app. We do not sell Google user data and we do not use it for advertising.

Disconnecting Google Calendar

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Integrations settings. When you disconnect, Daily deletes the stored credentials and attempts to revoke access with Google.

Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
